Publication is the start of implementation.

BCCC Response

Each recommendation should receive a clear public response.

The BCCC can explain whether a recommendation is accepted, accepted in principle, requires further work or is not accepted, together with reasons and proposed next steps.

Who Is Responsible

Implementation may involve more than one organisation.

Responsibility will depend on the recommendation:

BCCC actions within its own remit
ABA action for Code or Charter changes
Shared work with AFCA, ASIC and stakeholders

Implementation Themes

A practical roadmap can group related recommendations.

  • Accountability and transparency: clearer reporting, decision-making and public assurance.
  • Engagement and information sharing: stronger relationships and better access to relevant evidence.
  • Capability and resources: systems, data, expertise and capacity needed to deliver the work.

Progress Dashboard

Status, ownership and evidence should be easy to follow.

An implementation dashboard could show the recommendation, responsible owner, agreed action, current status, target date, latest update and evidence of completion.

Illustrative statuses are Planned, Underway and Complete.

Reporting Progress

Regular updates keep implementation accountable.

Progress may be reported through dashboard updates, public announcements and a summary in the BCCC Annual Report.

Completed actions should explain what changed and how the change supports more effective Code oversight.
